Virtuix Studios plans to add more locations as downloadable content (DLC) in the upcoming months. These new spots will feature famous landmarks, historical sites, and breathtaking natural wonders. Furthermore, they assert that an hour of walking in Treks consumes roughly 500 calories.
With TREKS,» explained Jan Goetgeluk, Virtuix’s CEO, «you don’t simply observe these locations; you traverse through them. This provides an excellent opportunity to maintain physical activity while immersing yourself in some of the world’s most renowned sites. Fitness and adventure complement each other perfectly, and TREKS presents this unique blend in a fresh, innovative manner.
As an enthusiastic supporter, I’d like to share the exciting details about the Omni One system I recently came across. Priced at $3,495, this remarkable setup encompasses the star attraction — the VR treadmill itself, and a specially tailored Pico 4 Enterprise headset. This versatile headset offers an immersive experience, allowing you to run native apps thanks to its built-in chipset, or connect it to a powerful PC for a seamless VR experience, either wired or wirelessly.
After the recent announcement last month, Omni One now offers support for more than 55 games, with some notable new additions such as the Arizona Sunshine Remake, Arizona Sunshine 2, and Into The Radius.
The Omni One’s multi-purpose setup can support SteamVR games as well, thanks to the Omni Connect PC Driver that enables personalized control mapping and adjustments. This feature allows you to fine-tune games not initially developed for a seamless immersive walking experience.
